HA NOI (VNS) — Typhoon Rammasun swept away two houses, while landslides, caused by the storm, buried and damaged 60 houses in the northern province of Dien Bien, according to local reports.

The residents of more than 110 households in the province were also reportedly forced to flee their homes.
Prolonged torrential rain over the weekend caused heavy floods, submerging plants and crops of the people living near the Lo River in Ha Giang Province. Yesterday evening, the Ha Giang hydrographic station recorded the river water level at 101.33 metres, 0.33 metre higher than the second highest level of alert.

The provincial authorities said that they were mobilising all possible forces to maintain readiness for emergency situations.
Since it made landfall in the northern province of Quang Ninh on Saturday morning, the typhoon has reportedly killed at least six people and several are missing. – VNS
